28. Moses M. COONS was born on 24 May 1830 in Ulster County, NY.(93) He died on 5 Aug 1910 in Elkhart, Elkhart County, IN. (94) He was a Farmer. He was buried in Five Points Cem, Mason Twp, Cass Co, MI.(95) He was married to Ann M. MORSE on 10 Jan 1856.

Moses Coons was born in New York on May 24, 1830. At the age of eleven, in 1841, he came to Cass County, Michigan with his family, his brothers and parents, John and Phoebe (Sutton) Coons. Moses was the oldest of his six brothers and sisters listed in the 1850 census. The two older boys were born in New York and the youngest ones in Michigan while Charles, who was born in 1840, entered the family in Ohio probably slowing down the family's journey west as they sought new farmland in Michigan.

Moses took a wife of similar background. A neighboring farm girl, Ann M. Morse was also born in New York on October 18, 1830. Together they raised a family and farmed the land, and by 1860 Moses was tilling 36 acres in Mason Township. By 1896 he had 88 acres in section 15 and 16 of that township.

Moses died on August 5, 1910 and is buried in Five Points Cemetery in Mason Township. His wife preceded him in death on October 29, 1898 and is buried beside him.

29. Ann M. MORSE was born on 18 Oct 1830 in Ontario County, NY. (96) She died on 29 Oct 1898 in Mason Twp., Cass County, MI. (97) She was buried in Five Points Cem., Mason Twp., Cass Co., MI.(98) Children were:
